Our intent

A quieter kind of software for the land.

Conservation work is patient work. Volunteers turn up at dawn. Surveys are repeated season after season. Grants are written with care. Custodia is built to match that pace — calm, grounded, considered.

What it holds

Sites and parcels. Projects and their phases. Volunteers, their certifications, and the hours they give. Species observations. Recurring monitoring protocols. Grant-ready reports. And, when you need to step back, a dark-sky Wilderness Pulse that lets you see the whole stewardship system at a glance.

What the land says back

Custodia listens, too. The Listening Room draws together bird life, water, canopy, and your own field notes into a single quiet feed. Four times a year, a Wonder Letter arrives — a long-form letter composed in the voice of your preserves, ready to send to your members. Watchtower and Resonancekeep an eye on the things that should reach you, and only speak when they cross a line.

Stewardship that funds itself

The same record that makes the work legible to a board makes it legible to a member, too. Sponsor-a-Preserve memberships, threshold-based appeals when the watershed needs you, and an annual printed Almanac of your stewardship year run on rails Custodia includes by default. Funds settle straight into your bank through Stripe Connect.

Built within CROS

Custodia is a member of the CROS family of mission-aligned tools. Volunteer signups, project milestones, and monitoring events flow into the federation, so partners and operators can see the broader pattern of care across many organizations.

A small team. A long horizon.

We build slowly, we listen carefully, and we ship things that hold up to the rhythms of the land. If that resonates, you'll feel at home here.
